I have a problem with Thunderbird that I can't seem to fix. When emails come in they are hard to read because of the type size. I can increase the text size through 'view' on the toolbar, which is a pain in the ass to have to do. Printing is even worse. A magnifying glass is almost necessary when it prints out, contrary to the increase in text size. There are no other printer problems with other programs, nor does this problem doesn't exist in MS Outlook. Would appreciate any suggestions on this.

Hey John Lambert and others,
I use both my lappy & desk top and use Micro$oft Synchtoy to synchronise the whole folder where I store my mail on each PC. I changed it to a nicer location than the default. Then no need to export & import. Takes all address book changes, all mail changes, all calendar as well (lightening). Works a treat.

Heck, while I'm at it ... has anyone ever addressed the continuing problem of TB being so painfully slow to open a new blank email to compose, or a reply to an email, when it's the first time to do so after launching TB?

Subsequent blanks or replies come up just fine, but, man, those first ones after launch are tedium defined!

What is up with this, and will it ever be fixed?

Thanks,
Frederick

Would it be possible for someone to fix the bug with the configuration option mail.close_message_window.on_delete? This feature doesn't work when the value is set to true. I have found other users who have patched and rebuilt the source, but I don't have time for that. This is one key usability feature that prevents me from moving over to TB currently? Can someone patch this and check it in for the next build?

Thanks!

I'm assuming that the patch to make it possible to attach files with out-of-locale Japanese filenames (Bug 332110) hasn't been included in this release, since I don't see it listed here.

I guess I'll keep using Outlook...

Still can't import settings from outlook to Thunderbird... and that's why I don't use it. When mozilla fixes that, I'll switch...

Hi it usually takes 3 to 4 attempts to download my emails: I get connection to [HOST] timed out.

I get this from multiple sources such as POP accounts and Web Mail accounts (using the Web Mail plugin).

If i use outlook or outlook express I do not have this issue. Are the development team aware of this issue?

Sorry to be a curmudgeon here, but does anyone have any idea when there will be a fix for the bug that causes HTML email to open painfully slowly unless the Address Book is open?

The bug has long been reported, and discussed, and discussed, and discussed, yet revision after revision comes along, including 2.0.0.12, without its being fixed.

I don't understand why it can't be fixed.
