<description>Just wondering if there would be any way of associating events with tasks in Sunbird, taking the &quot;convert to event&quot; function further. Removing a task could then remove all it&#039;s events, or if I was to offset that task&#039;s start date then the events could also offset also. etc.

		<description>Please help !!!!!!!

I have downloaded Sunbird. None of the functions under File menu is working and also I cannot create tasks and events. I hate Microsoft, so I have not activated outlook 2007, that came with my Vista machine. I have recently downloaded Thunderbird and I am still learning.

I want the Sunbird to work independently -- can anyone help me please ........

Thanking you in advance

Ashish

<description>The printout of the monthly calendar does not include the tasks events for that month. I use the task events to make daily notes of the things I did each day. My task events sometimes include the time I spent on these tasks. I wish that when I print a monthly calendar that I could choose whether or not to include a printout of these tasks in the calendar (completed and in-progress). The equivalent of a PRT-SCR would be fine. This would provide a needed monthly record and an index into the calendar.

<description>I also hate the new use of color. Having them surrounded was more visually appealing and easier to process.

		<description>Really cool.

You know what would be a nice feature to add would be the ability to have days from the past marked off -- graphically / stylized X or line through the date.

		<description>Great job!
I hope that some day VJOURNAL will be added. Why? because the only thing left to completely remove paper from my office is an electronic place to jot down my daily notes. Having a way to search through them and the ability to insert graphics, links and contact links would greatly aid my ability to manage my data. Seeing them as unique journal entries in my calendar would make them easier to find and manage. I was hoping that the Mozilla Journal project would start back up, but its dead for now.

<description>I am a fresh user of Lightning, so forgive me if this is already somehow implemented but this is something I have been already caring with me for years and so far, did not see it in any of the calender / tasks / e-mail suites:

I would like to have the possibility to connect e-mails, tasks and calender events: mails with an reminder should become visible in the task pane, and the tasks should become visible in my calender, so in the end, I do not have to check my calender for events and my tasks for today&#039;s to-do&#039;s and my e-mails for reminders to deal with today but have only one (!) place where all my stuff is being collected and where I can move it around to plan it: e.g. moving the task to a specific hour within today&#039;s schedule and the e-mail too, assigning precise time slots for these.

That would be something I would love to see implemented.

<description>I HATE the new use of color. Having tasks/events surrounded by color was SO much easier to use. The new &quot;tab-like&quot; thing is very visually confusing. If you think about it from a cognitive science perspective, you&#039;ve just made each event a more perceptually complex object and therefore it takes more effort to process.

		<description>&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.llamagraphics.com/LB/windows/index.php&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;http://www.llamagraphics.com/LB/windows/index.php&lt;/a&gt;

Could you make it so tasks can have children and parents? Inspired by above link.

General: Found &quot;Time Management for System Administrators&quot; to be an interesting read. Stuff he talks about in the book has sometimes been implemented in Thunderbird/Lightning.

Good job, keep up the good work.

<description>Excuse me for my poor english and if I&#039;m not in the right section, but I think adding email as event/task or linking it to a task/event could be an interesting functionality.
