I've been trying out Lightning for several weeks now and tonight realized that there doesn't appear to be a search function. Is this right, or am I missing it? I downloaded Sunbird and see that it has a search/filtering feature. I'd really prefer to use Lightning since I'm already using Thunderbird, but will I have to switch to Sunbird to get search?

Moving very slowly. It'll be years before a sync is possible with handhelds.

Is a "Quick Add" feature (like the only in Google Calendar) in the works?

If not I'd really like one.

Lightning has still a long way to go compared to integration with thunderbird. I have been a user of outlook 2003 and the way its email client and calendar application fits together is something that lightning has still not been able to come close to even after such a major update.
I prefer thunderbird over any other email client but i really really miss having an integrated calendar application. For example there is still no option to create a task or an event directly from the inbox. this behaviour is provided by the 'reminder fox' extension but then again its not an integrated calendar application.
Even the UI is still very clumsy and the update to the UI that i was hoping for has not appeared. I dont remeber exactly but there was a person who had created exceptional UI designs for the future lightning builds.

Great work! The most important things, i believe, is the full compatibility with Outlook calendar, unfortunally. In this way you can use it without problem in your workoffice.
So, thanks for new features! Go on!

Ciao
